This is not just a run, it is about spreading awareness about rapid melting marking it as the second edition of the last run implying this could be the last run on the frozen pangong lake as glaciers are rapidly melting due to global climate change.
Who says you can’t walk (or run) on water? This remarkable event offers you the opportunity to do exactly the same on the frozen waters of the famous Pangong Lake in Ladakh. The Pangong Frozen Lake Marathon is limited to 100 runners of all abilities for this year. Every step is taken on pure ice, it’s the flattest race you’ll ever run and an experience you’ll never forget.
